Is the Warranty transferrable?

Unfortunately, the Ridley Limited Warranty is non-transferrable. What that means is if you didn't buy your Ridley from a Dealer as a brand new motorcycle with a Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin, the bike is not new and the warranty is no longer active. The only warranty that will cover a pre-owned Ridley is the Ridley Extended Warranty which must be purchased by the original owner and transferred to the new Owner. There is a small transfer fee.

Where do I find a pre-owned Ridley?

With less than one thousand Ridley Motorcycles built each year, demand is high. Finding a pre-owned Ridley is like finding a needle in a haystack. Most Ridley Dealer accept previous year model trades for newer year models. Start by contacting a Ridley Dealer. Second, we recommend searching the Ridley Owners Forum. Occassionally, Ridley Owners will post information about their motorcycles for sale on this site.

From time to time, the Ridley Factory has demonstrator models available. When available, these are posted on this page to the right.

Using an auction site should be your last option. It's not that there aren't some great deals to be found on these sites. Too often the condition of the motorcycles are not as described. And while we would love to sell you some parts, we really want to see you end up with the Ridley of your dreams.

Why Buy New?

In many ways buying new can save you a lot of money. For starters, financing rates and terms are better on new models (7.99% for 84 months*). But more importantly, the newer the Ridley, the more advanced the equipment and finish. Our best models are our latest ones. That's not saying that the older year model bikes are lesser quality. What is being built into the later year models offer more function. For example, in 2008 Ridley introduced the parking brake which is standard equipment on all but one '08 model. Also in '08 was the brake pedal improvement and twenty-five (25) month warranty. That's twice the warranty that any other year model.

In short, you might find that your monthly payments and features on a new Ridley make more sense than buying a pre-owned. However, there are the occasional "great deals". No matter what vintage Ridley you end up with, we want to help make the most of your experience.
